Three Athletes Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Award

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.
The event will be aired from 19:00 GMT.
The Football Star

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
