The Dutch manager has stated that the Anfield decision-makers are aligned with his perspective regarding the poor performance streak and he refuses to compromise their attacking style in search of a solution. The head coach admitted that six losses in seven matches was unacceptable ahead of Aston Villa's visit.

Increasing Scrutiny Throughout Tough Spell

Only the Lancashire club (21) have conceded more clear opportunities from normal situations this season than Liverpool (nineteen). The league leaders, Arsenal, have faced two. In each fixture we have played so far we haven't conceded a lot of chances. Absolutely not. We do concede a slightly more than last season but that stems from us being trailing by a goal so you become more adventurous. But overall I don't feel that our issue is that we give up too many openings. Our challenge is we don't score the chances we create."
