Mario's Galactic Adventure Trailer Arrives, Introducing Fresh Faces Rosalina & Bowser Jr. Voices
Nintendo alongside Illumination shared the debut comprehensive teaser for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie midweek. The reveal happened in a dedicated Nintendo presentation that centered on the upcoming animated film.
Following up on the successful 2023 release The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this new installment will send Mario to the distant reaches of the galaxy. In his journey, he meets a fresh princess character and a challenging new adversary in Bowser Jr., the son of the King of the Koopas.
A Cosmic Adventure Based on Classic Games
Similar to the games from the Wii period that serve as its inspiration, Mario will venture away from the cozy environment of the Mushroom Kingdom to journey through the cosmos. On his epic voyage, he will encounter once more some recognizable characters, for instance the Luma, a breakout star from the previous film.
But it appears Mario and his sibling Luigi will face a fresh enemy in the form of Bowser's furious offspring, who reportedly utilizes powers related to metal. Notably, the trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is not exclusively centered on visuals from the Galaxy games; it also contains hints to further iconic releases like Super Mario Odyssey and Bowser's Fury.
All-Star Vocal Ensemble Come Back and Grow
The feature will welcome back of the initial voice actors, with Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
Fresh faces in the lineup for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are Brie Larson, who will bring to life Rosalina, and Benny Safdie, set to play Bowser Jr. This was confirmed by Chris Meledandri, the chief executive of Illumination.

The upcoming Mario film is scheduled to arrive near the 40-year celebration of the first Super Mario Bros. title. Beyond the film, 2026 looks set to be a important time for Mario and his companions.
Nintendo confirmed three new games officially announced for 2026, such as Mario Tennis Fever, a Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and a latest Yoshi adventure game titled Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.
