Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring over a popular coastal beach unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings posted online depict the chopper beginning to twirl near the shoreline then descending towards the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were harmed. Details on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
