Football Recap: Denver Edge Hapless Jets in Defensive Battle

In a low-scoring contest this weekend, the Broncos clinched a 13-11 victory over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early scoring strike and specialist Wil Lutz provided the late decisive three-pointer to secure the ugly win.

Defensive Display Seals Game

Even with registering nine sacks versus Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 following conceding a two-point play in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets managed just 82 offensive yards during the entire game.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, led a decisive 12-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Lutz's short field goal with approximately five minutes remaining.

Historic Difficulties for Jets Attack

In spite of their horrendous performance, the Jets still had possession with a opportunity to drive for a possible victory. However Fields was tackled on fourth down from the Denver 44 after coach Aaron Glenn opted to go for it instead of sending out specialist Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

The Jets quarterback struggled throughout, connecting on just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. The Jets ended up with negative ten passing yards, the fewest in any contest since 1998.

"The aerial attack was non-existent," the coach commented after the contest.
