According to latest figures, the population of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the total of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the count of women aged 100 or over almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to hear from centenarians, their loved ones or friends, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s major happenings and changes.
